Faile Bast Deluxx Fluxx Arcade
Feb. 16th, 2010 02:20 pmTwo artists, Faile and Bast, have teamed up for a crazy show in London at Lazarides Greek Street. One of my ex-Walker New Media coworkers, Eric Ishii-Eckhardt, worked on the games involved and helped them set the show up.
I remember having a discussion about this some time ago since I built my own arcade and they wanted some pointers, but the idea was to buy a bunch of old arcade cabinets, put all new artwork on them, as well as hook up computers to the arcades to make new custom games.
Normally I'm not into people gutting perfectly good arcade cabinets but what they did with this exhibition is really cool. Just a really cool concept for an experimental exhibition to showcase artwork.
